Joy Putnam Dahl is a Jesus Girl. She has been transformed from the inside out by God’s grace. Through trials she learned to rise above the depths of real life and cling to hope. Now Joy’s passion is to walk with others in sisterhood by bringing encouragement and laughter to each day. She is inspired by the people she meets around the world who are overcoming their circumstances and praising the Lord in the midst of life’s storms.
Joy grew up in the suburbs of our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., and graduated from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce in 1990. She began working with Price Waterhouse and then focused most of her career developing startup and high-growth companies in the telecommunications and radio industries. Joy had her own consulting practice for almost 10 years but stepped aside and is currently pursuing a Master of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. Joy resides in Dallas, TX with her husband, Gordon, an amazing man of God.
Joy has won several awards for personal essays entitled “Softballs” and “Reflection in the Water”. She is author of two books about rising above real life, Climb Up on The Rock and Back Away from the Toilet Bowl, and she has written an adventure for middle-grade readers entitled Hunters of the Sparkling Ruby.
Joy loves dark chocolate. Other favorite things include God’s Word, flowers, horses, music, dogs, travel, sports, beaches and adventure (to name just a few).
